Amanda was sitting in a chair next to her bedroom window, looking out at the beautiful clear spring evening. As she sat gazing up at the stars, she was comforted by a glass of warm milk her mother had made for her. Dotty knew her daughter was having a hard time sleeping the last few nights, but had no idea why. She could see it in her eyes, that is when Dotty suggested the warm milk and maybe a relaxing bath. Amanda did not feel like a bath, she agreed to the milk and excused herself rushing off to her room. She knew what was wrong, Lee had been called overseas and she was worried about him. Billy had to send him. The person under investigation in the London area had had a past with Lee. Four years earlier Lee had put this man in jail, he knew the man's MO. Billy knew Lee was the best one to send over to capture this man. Amanda sat there, wishing Lee was in DC instead of far away from her. She knew they were not involved, but hope that one day they might be.

Amanda saw a shooting star, bright as it could be. She closed her eyes. 'Lee, I miss you, I hope you're ok'. She wished she could find the courage to just put her arms around him and tell him how much she loves him.

After a few minutes, Amanda drifted off into a light slumber, her head resting against the window frame and feet propped up on a stool. As she dreamed about Lee, she dreamed that it was a typical day at work. Lee had been avoiding her, she had no idea why. Everything had been going great between them, but then working together non-stop for two weeks can get on a person's nerves. But still, Amanda had these strong feelings for Lee, and she had no idea if he felt anything for her.

As Amanda lay dreaming, Lee was on his way home from London. As he sat at the airport waiting for his connecting flight to DC, he too was having the same thoughts about Amanda.
Lee hadn't wanted to be on this assignment in the first place, but Billy insisted he go. He would rather be spending time with Amanda, trying to find the courage to tell her the strong feelings he has for her. Lee knew he had been in love with her for sometime now, he just had a hard time admitting it to Amanda. Being away from her for a week made him realize he wanted to be with her.

Two days after arriving in DC Lee found himself sitting in his car, staring at the familiar white Arlington house. All the lights were off, which was not surprising it was 2:00 in the morning. Lee had taken Amanda out the night before, he just wanted to spend time alone with her. They had gone for a walk around the Lincoln Memorial before he dropped her off at home. That is where she had shocked him. Before she got out of the car, she admitted to Lee she was in love with him. She knew it was a bold move, but she had to take the chance. Now Lee sat in the car, amazed with this woman he met 3 years ago.

Lee decided it was time to head home. Undressing and climbing into bed, he drifted off to sleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. Dreaming of the love Amanda has for him and him for her. He dreamed of them being married and sharing the rest of there lives together.
